Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is working with an established multi-disciplinary environmental and planning consultancy in Newcastle, seeking a Principal Town Planner to lead a variety of projects across the North of England. The role requires RTPI Chartered status and demonstrable planning consultancy or local authority experience.

You will mentor junior team members, drive workload growth, and take charge of applications and appeals, while engaging with clients at meetings and planning committees.

Qualifications

• Chartered RTPI member (or close to submitting)
• Experience in planning consultancy or local authority

Responsibilities

• Take the role of project lead on a variety of projects across the North of England
• Manage and mentor junior members of the team
• Contribute to the growth of the team and workload
• Prepare and submit applications and appeals
• Attend client meetings and planning committee hearings
