About the job: Based in Northwood, UK, you will join the Agency to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will be part of CSU Northwood, providing CIS products and services to NATO entities, managing critical technological capabilities during peacetime, crisis, and war.

We seek a driven Principal Technician (ICT Systems) responsible for:

  • Assisting in shore-based system administration for command and control applications supporting Maritime Command HQ (MARCOM) and NATO flagships, including MCCIS, ICC, NIRIS, and J-Chat.
  • Providing expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting servers and applications on military ships.
  • Delivering, maintaining, and repairing end-user applications.
  • Supporting high-priority applications supporting NATO partners.

About you: Your experience should include:

  • Higher vocational training with 3+ years or secondary education with 5+ years post-related experience.
  • At least 3 years of practical experience with ICT end systems in large organizations.
  • Strong application management and system monitoring skills.
  • At least 2 years recent experience in a large-scale ICT service environment, troubleshooting, patching, and configuring hardware/software within Windows and UNIX, including XMPP chat systems.
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
