Job summary

Slalom is a global human-centric consulting firm partnering with organisations to transform strategy, technology, data and people. As a Principal in the UK&I Transformation team, you will lead engagements across workforce planning, organisation design, HR advisory and talent optimisation, building client relationships with CHROs and HR leaders, shaping proposals and growing our offering.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading workforce planning, organisation design, HR advisory or talent engagements, ideally gained in a consulting environment.
• Proven track record of owning senior client relationships and leading projects and teams to successful outcomes.
• Business development experience, including identifying opportunities, shaping and writing proposals, and supporting sales conversations.
• Ability to connect people and organisation decisions to wider business strategy and commercial outcomes.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills, with the credibility to challenge and advise senior leaders.
• A commercial mindset, with experience managing project scope, budget and risk.
• Strong analytical skills, including confidence working with workforce and HR data.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of client engagements across workforce planning, organisation design, HR advisory and talent, taking accountability for quality, outcomes and commercial performance.
• Own and grow senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to executives, CHROs and HR leadership teams.
• Lead strategic workforce planning, helping clients understand future skills and capacity needs, including the impact of AI and automation, and build practical plans to close the gaps.
• Design organisational structures, spans and layers, roles and responsibilities, and the transition plans needed to implement them.
• Advise HR functions on their operating model, processes, policies and capabilities, including HR transformation and technology-enabled change.
• Shape talent strategies that attract, develop, deploy and retain people, including skills and capability frameworks, career architecture and succession planning.
• Make sure people and organisation changes land well, working with change management colleagues on engagement, consultation and adoption.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities, scope and shape engagements with clients, and lead proposal development.
• Develop our propositions, methods and thought leadership in this space, and represent Slalom at client and industry events.
• Lead, coach and develop consultants, contributing to the growth and culture of our Transformation team.
