Job Description

Leonardo is seeking skilled individuals to join their Systems Engineering Function for a large-scale EW integration programme. We are looking for engineers to analyze, model, and simulate radio frequency (RF) signals and the effects of system and environmental influences.

As a team member, you may hold Design Authority level competency and lead the design, integration, and testing of advanced RF systems for vehicle platform integration.

Applicants should have broad Systems Engineering Lifecycle expertise in the Defence industry, with Electronic Attack and/or Electronic Surveillance domain knowledge.

Key Responsibility Areas

What You Will Do

Your main responsibility will be providing expertise in RF systems engineering and signal processing for electronic warfare subsystems, including transmit and receive antennas, RF amplifiers, electronic receivers, and waveform generators.

You will derive EA/ES subsystem requirements and liaise with subcontractors on Statement of Work deliverables and acceptance criteria for the overall programme compliance.

You will utilize your RF communication systems knowledge to create models and simulations of threat systems, assessing the effectiveness of electronic attack and surveillance concepts in operational environments.

Essential Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of RF communication systems
• Strong understanding of Signal Processing techniques
• Experience with EW (EA/ES) environmental threat analysis
• Modeling experience using Matlab/Simulink
• Strong interpersonal skills for technical discussions
• Ability to operate strategically and tactically, resolving detailed technical issues
• Experience in requirements definition, influencing design decisions, and developing systems aligned with open architectures and defense standards
• Ability to define test and acceptance criteria and assess system compliance
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to achieve Security clearances to SC minimum

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of Land CEMA Architecture
• Experience in team collaboration and leadership
• Experience in planning, estimating, and defining engineering tasks
