Principal Systems Engineer
Milton Keynes
Hybrid (3 days on site)
£70,000 - £95,000 salary DOE + benefits

Our client is developing cutting-edge hybrid control and inverter systems that power everything from high-performance motorsport platforms to next-generation passenger EVs. We're looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to lead this innovative work!

This role offers the chance to work on technically complex, high-impact systems at the forefront of electric propulsion. You will be part of a growing engineering team where your decisions influence architecture, performance, and future development.

In this role, you will:

1. Lead the full systems V-cycle: from concept to production
2. Own architecture, requirements management (using DOORS, Polarion), and functional safety (ISO26262)
3. Drive model-based development in MATLAB/Simulink
4. Mentor and guide a talented team, and participate in recruitment and team growth
5. Collaborate closely with controls, software, and hardware teams
