The Role

As a Principal Systems Engineer, you’ll have an out-of-the-ordinary role. Alongside the Head of Systems Engineering, you will be responsible for expanding our systems engineering capability within our vehicle business.

Day-to-day, you’ll lead systems engineering activities to ensure vehicles are deployed with the desired performance levels to our customers and meet all regulatory requirements.

• Define and manage system requirements, ensuring traceability throughout development
• Provide technical guidance across the project lifecycle
• Develop and maintain system-level documentation
• Manage risks and develop mitigation strategies for technical challenges
• Conduct reviews and audits to verify compliance

This role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working options including locations in Bristol, Plymouth, Walsall, London, and home working.

Experience Required

• Solid systems engineering experience
• Leadership experience in systems engineering preferred
• Background in automotive and/or defence industry advantageous

Qualifications

• HNC / HND or Degree in relevant engineering subject
