Job summary

A leading defence company is seeking an experienced systems architect to define and maintain submarine systems architecture. The role involves architectural compliance, mentoring engineers, and supporting bids. Ideal candidates will have a strong systems engineering background, preferably with a STEM degree and industry recognition.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of systems engineering lifecycle, especially early concept/design.
• Track record of working on early-stage systems architecture.
• INCOSE membership or equivalent industry recognition (desirable).

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Define and maintain logical, physical, and functional system architectures

• Ensure architectural compliance with design, feasibility, and performance requirements

• Provide expert input from design to commissioning

• Mentor engineers and guide the development of architectural maturity

• Support bids and proposals through scope and resource estimation

Your Skills and Experience:

• Deep understanding of systems engineering lifecycle, especially early concept/design

• STEM degree or experience in Defence, Nuclear, Telecoms or Automotive

• Track record of working on early-stage systems architecture

• INCOSE membership or equivalent industry recognition (desirable)
