Job summary

A leading defence organization is seeking a Systems Architect to lead the development of advanced submarine systems architecture. This role involves defining architectural frameworks, mentoring engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with performance requirements within a dynamic hybrid working environment. Ideal candidates will possess a solid background in systems engineering, especially from Defence, Nuclear, Telecoms, or Automotive sectors.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of systems engineering lifecycle, especially early concept/design.
• Track record of working on early-stage systems architecture.
• INCOSE membership or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain system architectures for submarine systems.
• Provide expert input throughout design to commissioning.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Define and maintain logical, physical, and functional system architectures

• Ensure architectural compliance with design, feasibility, and performance requirements

• Provide expert input from design to commissioning

• Mentor engineers and guide the development of architectural maturity

• Support bids and proposals through scope and resource estimation

Your Skills and Experience:

• Deep understanding of systems engineering lifecycle, especially early concept/design

• STEM degree or experience in Defence, Nuclear, Telecoms or Automotive

• Track record of working on early-stage systems architecture

• INCOSE membership or equivalent industry recognition (desirable)
