Job summary

Ramboll in London is seeking a Principal Sustainability Consultant (Building Certifications) to lead major green building certification projects across the UK and Europe. You will drive BREEAM, DREAM, WELL and LEED strategies, guiding design teams and clients through complex sustainability requirements.

You will mentor junior staff, manage budgets and timelines, and contribute to Ramboll’s culture of collaboration and high-quality delivery on ambitious projects for a sustainable future.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience delivering sustainability projects in the Buildings sector.
• Certifications qualification such as Licenced BREEAM Assessor, BREEAM AP, WELL AP.
• Strong track record across design and construction.
• Experience delivering green building certifications such as BREEAM, DREAM, WELL and LEED.
• Exceptional communication, ability to lead meetings, liaise with clients, and convey technical knowledge.
• Report writing and communication for clients and internal teams.
• Able to work in a team and independently.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage workload, finances and deadlines.

Your new role

As our new Principal Sustainability Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work on sustainability projects from varying sectors within the UK and across Europe. You will join our Sustainable Solutions team, made up of sustainability experts across varying fields such as certifications, whole life carbon and circular economy, indoor environmental quality and decarbonisation. You will thrive working in a supportive team environment on prestigious projects with ambitious clients and project teams. You will bring your sustainability knowledge and experience to projects through being involved in all aspects of sustainable buildings. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Leading and delivering sustainable certifications projects, including BREEAM, DREAM, WELL and LEED.
• Proving expert advice and guidance to design teams on the applied sustainability standards.
• Managing client relationships
• Project management and internal quality assurance procedures
• Contributing to internal tool development and research.
• Management and mentoring of junior members of staff.
• Preparing and quality assurance of technical reports e.g. BREEAM pre-assessment report, sustainability statements for planning submission.
• Supporting the training, development and growth of junior team members.
• Managing project budgets, timeframes and deliverables to ensure high quality and profitable work.

• Experience in delivering green building certifications projects such as BREEAM, DREAM, WELL and LEED
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead project meetings, liaise with clients and convey highly technical knowledge to a wide range of audiences.
• Report writing experience and communication skills for clients and internal teams.
• Fantastic focus with the ability to work both in a team as well as an individual.
• Brilliant organisational skills with the ability to manage own workload, project finances and meet project deadlines.
