Job description

Your new role

As our new Senior Project Manager, you will support the growth of the UK Healthcare Team. You will be working with our existing team, focussing on projects in London and South East England, but with opportunities to support healthcare projects throughout the UK and globally. You will have a focus on technical delivery and an excellent understanding of client care.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  1. Delivery of projects from inception to completion, ensuring that scope, contracts, programmes, change management, risk registers, budgets and QA procedures are in place and maintained
  2. Raise the profile and reputation of the UK Healthcare Team
  3. Manage the design process through design workshops and leading project meetings
  4. Management of the progress of multi-disciplinary engineering advisory and design solutions by Ramboll’s in-house teams and specialist sub-consultants
  5. Inspire and enthuse the engineers and technicians on your projects
  6. Liaise with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at project meetings
  7. Manage sub-consultants as the project requires, including Quantity Surveyors, Architects and specialist designers
  8. Implement best practice procedures to enhance and maintain delivery of sustainable, zero carbon, innovative and quality advisory and design services
  9. Take responsibility for day-to-day management of all project activity, including monthly reports, minutes, MS Project programmes and delivery of presentations

About you

  1. Must have demonstrable experience with UK Healthcare sector projects, such as the building of hospitals within the UK
  2. Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  3. MAPM or qualifications leading to full individual membership of an appropriate institution
  4. Have a thorough understanding of digital design delivery through Revit/BIM 360
  5. Excellent and demonstratable project management skills, with the ability to run multiple projects of varying size and complexity
  6. Experience of managing commercial processes on projects
  7. Understanding of project commercial and technical risks, procurement methods and contract administration requirements
  8. Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex technical concepts in plain language, verbally and in writing
  9. Able to interrogate financial information and write high quality reports
  10. Able to motivate and inspire confidence both internally and externally across geographical borders
  11. Able to manage stakeholder requirements and communicate them back to project teams, both in the UK and across geographical borders
