Job summary

Ramboll Bristol is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead design and delivery across UK and international projects within our Industry & Infrastructure Facilities team.

You will guide technical direction, develop client relationships, mentor engineers, and collaborate with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, low‑carbon solutions while growing the Bristol team.

Qualifications

• Chartered status with IStructE, ICE or international equivalent.
• Significant experience delivering technically challenging structural projects.
• Strong competence across steel, concrete and/or timber structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and delivery of projects or significant elements of projects.
• Develop and agree structural concepts, design philosophies and technical solutions.
• Apply advanced engineering judgement to complex problems.
• Take responsibility for technical quality of work and that of others.
• Act as technical lead and adviser to clients, representing Ramboll at meetings.
