Job summary

Ramboll Group in London seeks a Principal Structural Engineer to lead a range of projects across rail, aviation, data centres and other critical facilities. You will develop structural concepts, mentor engineers, and engage with clients as part of Ramboll's multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Chartered with IStructE/ICE or international equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex engineering clearly.
• Experience in infrastructure sectors such as Rail, Aviation, Data Centres or similar facilities.
• Proven track record on high-design, sustainable projects or asset reuse.
• Knowledge of primary construction materials; MMC experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop and agree structural concepts and design philosophies.
• Inspire and lead engineers and technicians on projects.
• Liaise with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at meetings.
• Take day-to-day project lead ownership and push low-carbon design.
