Job summary

WSP is a global engineering and professional services firm offering the opportunity to work on landmark projects with multidisciplinary teams.

About Your Role
  • Undertake structural engineering design for discrete packages of work, producing reports, calculation packages and specifications.
  • Supervise technicians in the production of 3D models and drawings that communicate structural engineering solutions.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated design solutions.
  • Communicate design solutions verbally, through sketching, drawing, writing and presentations.
  • Inspect construction sites to carry out inspections during the construction phase and assess existing structures.
  • Report directly to the lead structural engineer and collaborate with external consultants and multidisciplinary design teams.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree with Chartered status (MIStructE / MICE).
  • Working knowledge of structural engineering principles and application of Eurocodes.
  • Developing understanding of appropriate analytical techniques and design software.
  • Interest in low‑carbon design and assessment of embodied carbon.
  • Willingness to take responsibility for designs and support less experienced team members.
  • Security clearance will be required prior to appointment.
