Principal Structural Engineer

Our client is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with a network of national offices. Their office in Sevenoaks has been particularly successful recently, with a number of project wins. As a result they are looking to hire a principal structural engineer to help with project delivery.

The teams work on a broad range of schemes in sectors such as residential, commercial, medical and industrial, and their projects include new build and refurbishment.

About you:

• Degree in Structural Engineering
• Chartered, or close to
• At least 6 years' experience within a UK consultancy
• Experienced as the technical lead on projects
• Fully conversant with use of Eurocodes and structural analysis design software
• Design experience in all traditional forms of buildings structures

The role:

• Analysis and design using Tekla and Fastrak
• Structural assessment and inspection of new and existing structures in all materials
• Oversee technical output ensuring work is of highest standard
• Good communication skills are vital to produce technical reports including structural surveys
