- Design and assess timber, steel, concrete and masonry structures, including foundations across varying ground conditions.
- Undertake structural inspections, condition assessments, surveys, defect diagnosis and load capacity evaluations.
- Prepare technically robust structural investigation and assessment reports.
- Produce and review detailed calculations, structural analysis and BIM/CAD information.
- Work closely with architects, building services engineers, fire engineers and other disciplines to ensure fully coordinated solutions.
- Provide technical input at design reviews, coordination meetings and internal technical forums.
- Undertake UK-wide site visits and support projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
- Mentor graduates, engineers and technicians, supporting their technical development and progression towards chartership.
- Contribute to best practice, innovation and sustainable engineering solutions, including consideration of embodied and whole-life carbon.
Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Significant experience in structural engineering, including both new-build design and existing-building investigation.
- Strong experience within low to medium-rise residential developments.
- Excellent technical capability across timber, steel and concrete design.
