Principal/ Associate Structural Engineer

We are currently representing a world-class consultancy delivering high-profile, inspiring professional multi-disciplined services to a range of public and private sector clients.

It will be your role to drive and deliver works across the discipline on diverse projects across sectors, including Education, Commercial, Residential, Airports, Defence, Energy, Civil Infrastructure, and Rail.

You will be responsible for the technical and commercial management of major projects, as well as providing inspirational leadership for the team.

You will be expected to assist the relevant department Director in managing engineering resources and client needs, ensuring all projects are delivered to meet expectations.

Duties will include:

• Completing planned work programmes and projects to timeframes and within budget.
• Managing client needs, defining project technical specifications, managing costs, fees, and commercial requirements, and ensuring project delivery to client satisfaction.
• Assisting the relevant director in managing engineering resources across the Structural Engineering team.
• Supporting business development activities to enhance, grow, and diversify engineering capabilities.
• Managing the implementation of best practices in the Structural Engineering team.
• Leading major projects ensuring they are delivered to the specification.
• Preparing designs, calculations, specifications, drawings, and carrying out risk assessments for improvement, refurbishment, and new building schemes, tendering documents, and supervising works to completion, including agreeing interim and final accounts.
