Job description

Job Title: Strategic Planning Policy Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious, and committed planner with experience in delivering strategic planning policy to join our team.

York has recently adopted its Local Plan and is on the verge of significant development to realize the city’s growth ambitions. We are dedicated to delivering strategic sites for development, implementing a Community Infrastructure Levy to fund essential infrastructure, and promoting high-quality, sustainable development and placemaking across the city.

This role will support the Head of Strategic Planning Policy and Strategic Planning Policy Manager in achieving the Council’s planning policy goals for both the built and natural environments.

Role Details
  • This is a hybrid role based at West Offices, offering significant flexibility for remote working.
  • The position is suitable for job sharing.

  • We do not hold a sponsorship license; therefore, we cannot sponsor visas for this role.
