East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Principal Sonographer to lead the Trust-wide Non-Obstetric Ultrasound Service. The role combines professional, operational and clinical leadership with ongoing engagement in advanced ultrasound examinations to maintain high clinical standards.

Responsabilidades

Lead our Non-Obstetric Ultrasound Service across the Trust.
Provide professional, operational and clinical leadership for the service.
Lead and support Sonographers, trainee Sonographers and Radiology department assistants.
Maintain a regular clinical role and undertake complex ultrasound examinations.
Drive quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient access and diagnostic quality.
Lead workforce planning, recruitment, retention, appraisal and staff development.
Support performance management and ensure a skilled and sustainable workforce.
Drive service recovery and performance improvement against key national standards (DM01, RTT, Cancer pathways).
Promote learning culture, wellbeing, accountability and continuous improvement.
Contribute to business planning, service transformation and adoption of new technologies.
