Job summary

AVEVA, a global industrial software leader, seeks a Principal Solution Architect to drive architecture, solution design, and customer engagement for PI Data Infrastructure and AVEVA CONNECT Digital Twin initiatives from Cambridge or Madrid. This hybrid, full-time role collaborates with global teams to deliver scalable data solutions across energy, mining, utilities, manufacturing and more.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in solution architecture, consulting, services delivery, or industrial software implementation.
• Deep experience with PI Data Infrastructure including PI Server installation, configuration, connectivity, protocols, alerting, aggregation, Asset Framework, PI Vision, and PI DataLink.
• Strong industrial domain experience in energy, mining, utilities, chemicals, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture, workshops, implementation planning, and technical design for PI Data Infrastructure and CONNECT Digital Twin programmes.
• Engage with customers to gather requirements, manage stakeholders, and act as a trusted advisor for PI DI initiatives.
• Define architecture standards, templates, best practices, and rollout approaches for multi-site or enterprise deployments.
• Collaborate with product management, services, sales, pre-sales, and delivery teams to shape customer value and identify new use cases.
