Job summary

TRIA is seeking a Software Engineer (Simulation & Frameworks) at Senior/Principal level to help build the in-house simulation environment behind their next-generation photonic compute platform. You will shape the metrics, tooling and integrations that enable rapid bring-up and testing across the software-hardware boundary.

You will contribute to architectural decisions, mentor peers, and collaborate with hardware and software teams, while enjoying a fully remote role with occasional UK/US

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Python or C/C++ development experience.
• Experience with event-based simulators (SimPy).
• Strong understanding of SoC and memory architectures.
• Ability to write specs, test plans and reports.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bonus: AI/ML, HPC, cryptography, Rust or CI/CD exposure.

Responsibilities

• Build in-house simulation environment behind the flagship compute platform.
• Develop metrics, tooling and integrations (PyTorch, ONNX, HEIR).
• Mentor team members and support growth of the architecture group.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to refine system architecture.
