Job summary

JPMorgan Chase Accelerator is seeking a Principal Engineer to turn smart ideas into customer-ready software. You will work in a people-first culture, lead a lean engineering squad, and help shape a modular core platform for mass-market apps across Android and iOS.

The role emphasizes React Native, Expo, TypeScript, and modern mobile architecture. You will own SDLC improvements, release strategies, and mentoring, with opportunities to move between product squads and advance fintech innovations.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on React engineering concepts.
• Proven delivery of commercial React Native apps in production at scale.
• Deep knowledge of React Native and Expo internals.
• Mastery of TypeScript and mobile build/release systems.
• Experience optimizing large codebases and architecture patterns.

Responsibilities

• Establish and refine SDLC (testing strategy, automation, CI/CD, code quality gates).
• Design a release strategy enabling frequent, stable releases.
• Define and evolve React Native / Expo mobile architecture for a mass-market consumer application.
• Design and deliver a modular core platform enabling rapid, reliable feature iteration.

• Formal training or certification on React engineering concepts and proficient expert experience
• Proven delivery of commercial React Native applications in production across Android & iOS at scale
• Deep understanding of React Native and Expo internals
• Latest knowledge of architecture, tooling and best practices in mobile app development
• Mastery of TypeScript
• Experience optimizing large codebases
• Hands‑on knowledge of mobile build & release systems
• Strong grasp of architecture patterns

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Published React Native app(s) in public app stores
• Native Kotlin and/or Swift experience
• Kotlin Multiplatform exposure
