Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in London is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the accelerator, turning innovative ideas into customer-facing solutions built with React and TypeScript.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative squad, driving code quality, scalable front-end architecture, and responsible AI practices across B2C and B2B features. • Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption within delivery practices

Responsibilities

• Significant contributions to designing and building scalable and performant front-end solutions written in TypeScript using React
• Working across B2C and B2B features
• Advocate for and encourage high standards and best practices to maintain high code quality. Providing constructive and insightful feedback to teammates, participating in a strong engineering culture.
• Writing testable code, built for scalability, reliability and resilience.
• Working as part of a cross-functional squad, taking ownership of issues and bringing together necessary stakeholders to drive decision making and action.
• An active participant in technical discussions, contributing with insightful and informed opinions to the decision making process.
• Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while establishing consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the team.
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.
