Principal Software Engineer – London/Winchester (Hybrid Remote) - £83k plus 10% Bonus

Ada Meher is recruiting for a Principal Software Engineer to join a leading broadcasting and telecommunications company. The role involves building and deploying new platforms for content syndication and distribution via the Cloud. You will be part of a team of approximately 14 Engineers, with responsibilities including hands-on development, technical leadership, and mentoring junior developers.

This position allows for full remote work, with occasional travel to offices in London or Winchester 1-2 days a week. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

We offer flexible working hours focused on productivity rather than desk hours, allowing work to fit around personal commitments.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in backend Python development on large-scale projects
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform is a plus
• Experience designing and building microservice architectures
• Leadership and mentoring skills for junior engineers
