Job summary

Cytix Software in Manchester is seeking a Technical Leader to unblock the engineering team by resolving impasses, standardising engineering practices, and owning cross‑functional initiatives. You’ll stay hands‑on, prototyping, shipping MVPs, and turning product ideas into polished user experiences.

You’ll work across the stack with product, design and engineering teams while operating with a high degree of independence, in a hybrid Manchester-based environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building modern frontend apps with TS and Vue3.
• Strong backend experience with Node-based services and relational DBs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Prisma, AWS, and REST APIs.
• Able to work independently in a hybrid environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ideal background in early-stage startups undergoing growth.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship new product features end-to-end.
• Lead rapid prototyping and MVP development.
• Collaborate with product, design and engineering teams to shape direction.
• Improve performance, reliability and developer experience across the platform.
• Support hiring, performance management and technical roadmaps.
