Job summary

Corpay is hiring a Principal Software Engineer in London to lead across the Client Lifecycle domain. You will guide architecture, balance trade-offs, and contribute production-grade code while mentoring others.

You’ll partner with engineering managers, architects and product managers to deliver secure, scalable solutions for KYC, onboarding, accounts and data-driven workflows in a regulated financial services context.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering with senior technical leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Finance or equivalent
• Strong AWS and distributed-systems expertise
• Experience with backend services using C#/.NET
• Knowledge of data platforms and pipelines
• Experience in regulated financial services environments
• Familiarity with KYC/onboarding workflows
• Experience with APIs and secure, observable systems

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Client Lifecycle systems
• Define engineering principles and reusable patterns
• Design distributed, cloud-native architectures with trade-offs
• Collaborate with architects, PMs and engineers to translate requirements
• Prototype complex solutions and contribute production-grade code
• Ensure cross-team architectural quality and risk management
• Guide data modelling, pipelines and data quality considerations
• Query data across platforms using SQL and related tools
• champion AWS-native security and observability
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards
• Investigate production issues and drive durable fixes
• Communicate strategy and risks to leadership
