Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive the modernization of core authentication domains and build high throughput cloud services using AWS, AWS CDK, and .NET. You will shape architecture, mentor teams, and deliver scalable SaaS solutions.

You will collaborate with security architects, product managers, and cross-functional teams to meet stringent security standards and NFRs, while guiding best practices and ensuring production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of hands‑on software development experience with extensive background in .NET/C#
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture patterns, RESTful APIs, asynchronous workflows, and event-oriented design.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to articulate architectural decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and system implementation of cloud-native, distributed microservices using AWS and .NET following secure-by-design principles.
• Practice all aspects of the software development lifecycle within an agile, continuous-delivery environment.
• Spearhead research into modern cybersecurity mechanisms and evaluate emerging tech stacks.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, design discussions, and coaching across the team.
• Participate in continuous engineering cycles with focus on code quality, testability, performance, and cost optimisation.
