Job summary

Palo Alto Networks in London is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join the Workload Identity area. You will design and build secure service communication across cloud, networking, and SDKs, leveraging Kubernetes and modern cryptography.

The role requires leadership, mentoring, and collaboration with product and field teams to move from prototype to production while tackling enterprise-scale security challenges.

Qualifications

• Strong software development background including design, architecture, implementation, and testing.
• Experience with Golang and modern security networking concepts.
• Experience solving enterprise-scale performance and quality challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software to solve Workload Identity challenges, from prototyping to production, including client and server components.
• Develop, shape, lead, mentor, and collaborate with a close-knit team.
• Work with stakeholders to discuss ideas, present work, discuss priorities, and options, particularly providing the technical perspective on feasibility and complexity.
• Act as the team's technical lead, delegating work and guiding team members through implementation.
