Cure Talent are partnered with an emerging wearable medical technology company at a defining growth stage, developing next-generation physiological monitoring solutions and moving toward regulatory approval and commercial launch. We seek a Principal Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across the software function, working with Head of Engineering and cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience within regulated medical devices.
• Principal, Lead, Architect or equivalent senior technical experience.
• Strong knowledge of IEC 62304 and the medical device software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on technical background with the ability to contribute directly to development and complex problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across software development, architecture and engineering best practice.
• Own and evolve the software architecture across the medical device platform, ensuring scalability and robustness.
• Lead technical decision-making across Software, Signal Processing and Firmware interfaces.
• Ensure software development aligns with IEC 62304 and wider medical device requirements.
• Support regulatory submissions and progression of products towards commercial release.
• Provide technical guidance to internal engineers, contractors and external development partners.
• Remain hands-on with software development, code reviews, testing, documentation and troubleshooting.
