Cure Talent is partnering with an emerging wearable medical technology company to drive regulatory approval and commercial launch of next-gen physiological monitoring solutions.

The company seeks a Principal Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across software, working with the Head of Engineering and multidisciplinary teams, while staying hands-on in development, reviews and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Extensive software experience within regulated medical devices.
• Senior technical experience in roles such as Principal/Lead/Architect.
• Strong knowledge of IEC 62304 and medical device software lifecycle.
• Broad understanding across software, embedded/firmware and signal processing or algorithm development.
• Experience supporting medical devices through regulatory approval and commercial release.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across software development, architecture and engineering best practices.
• Own and evolve the software architecture across the medical device platform.
• Lead technical decision-making across Software, Signal Processing and Firmware interfaces.
• Ensure software development aligns with IEC 62304 and wider medical device requirements.
• Support regulatory submissions and progression of products towards commercial release.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers, contractors and external partners.
• Remain hands-on with software development, code reviews, testing and troubleshooting.
