Job summary

Data Idols is seeking a Principal Software Architect to shape software architecture and engineering practices within a modern cloud-based SaaS platform. You will mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and work with Product and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Reporting to the CTO, the role blends strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, aiming to raise technical capability across the organization and drive continuous improvement in engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Proven design and delivery of high-quality software.
• Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET, Azure and React.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native development and Azure services.
• Experience influencing technical strategy and architectural decisions.
• Mentoring engineers and promoting engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural decisions for scalable, secure software systems.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices across teams.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Define and enforce coding standards, automation and software quality measures.
• Shape the future direction of the engineering function and architecture.
• Deliver cloud-native SaaS solutions with a focus on security and scalability.
