NUVIA UK's Technical Services & Consulting department is growing, offering hybrid opportunities across the country. We aim to build a multidisciplinary team to provide our clients with top talent.

Location - Risley, Warrington

Hybrid – 3 days in-office, 2 days remote

Salary – Dependent on experience

We are seeking an experienced Senior Control, Electrical, and Instrumentation (CE&I) Engineer to deliver work packages across various systems for all three SEP machines, focusing on solving CE&I challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering compliant, cost-effective, and timely CE&I design solutions.

Profile

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver CE&I design solutions for complex systems across multiple SEP machines, ensuring solutions meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Break down complex problems, offer clear options, and select the best solutions.
• Contribute to work plans and schedules.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Apply knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., CDM, PUWER, BS13849/62061, BS7671, UKCA/CE).
• Review and check engineering drawings for compliance.
• Review electrical power calculations per BS 7671 or similar standards.
• Create and review design specifications.
• Produce risk assessments, installation method statements, EO packs, quality, and O&M documents.
• Contribute to safety design documentation (IEC 61508).

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering CE&I design solutions on time and within budget.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Deep understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in reviewing engineering drawings and calculations.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

• Evidence of engineering judgment and risk-based decision-making.
• Experience in creating design specifications and resolving panel/build issues.
• Knowledge of producing safety and quality documentation.
• Experience with functional safety (IEC 61508).
