Job summary

Mott MacDonald seeks an ICT Principal Engineer to design security systems and ICT infrastructure within our Digital Infrastructure team, based in a Southern UK office. You will lead design across major projects spanning healthcare, defence, airports, rail, data centres and residential sectors.

Deliver concept through detail design, coordinate with architects, engineers and clients, build strong client relationships, mentor early-career professionals and support bid and project delivery using

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering built environment projects.
• Extensive Security System and ICT infrastructure design across concept to detailed design.
• Leads design and specification of CCTV, access control, intruder detection, and security management systems.
• Experience securing high-security sites (CNI) and delivering Home Office requirements.
• Leads 3D design processes and coordinated delivery using REVIT and NBS Create.
• Excellent communication, report writing and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver security systems and ICT infrastructure design for major projects from concept to detailed design.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external designers; liaise with clients to define solutions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and oversee project delivery.
• Support senior managers on commercial and contractual aspects of projects.
• Prepare design documents, sketches, drawings, reports, schedules and specs.
• Review third-party designs and ensure compliance with briefs and standards.
