Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an ICT Principal Engineer to design security systems and ICT infrastructure within the Digital Infrastructure team, part of the Buildings division. You will work with our multidisciplinary Building Services MEP team, ideally based in one of our Southern UK offices.

You will deliver projects across healthcare, defence, airports, rail, residential and data centres. You will lead design from concept to detailed design, coordinate with architects and engineers, build strong

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering projects within the built environment.
• Extensive Security System and ICT infrastructure design experience across concept and detailed design stages.
• Leadership of design and specification for CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection, and Integrated Security Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Security Systems and ICT infrastructure design for major projects from concept through to detailed design.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with Architects and civil engineers.
• Develop, define and document appropriate solutions with clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Support senior managers on commercial and contractual aspects of projects.
• Prepare design documents including sketches, drawings, reports and specifications.
• Review designs with other disciplines and third-party designs for briefs and standards.
• Inspect and witness testing of systems and report findings.
