Formula 1 Team in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal Information Security Engineer to lead a small team while remaining hands-on in engineering and operations. You will own the cyber defence capability across the organisation, guiding security operations, tooling, detection, and incident response.
The role requires deep security fundamentals and the ability to build relationships, communicate clearly, and deliver pragmatic security decisions under pressure.

This is a high-impact, hands-on security leadership role, replacing the current Head of Information Security. You’ll provide technical direction to a small team while remaining heavily involved in the engineering and operational detail.

The technology stack is tool-agnostic. Strong security fundamentals matter more than specific vendor experience.
Experience across:
CrowdStrike is beneficial but not essential.
SOAR, scripting, automation and MSSP experience are also advantageous.

Location: Northampton Area
Working pattern: Minimum 3 days onsite per week
The onsite requirement is important, and candidates must be comfortable working from the HQ at least three days per week.
