Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Designer for the Security & Technology Engineering team to play a pivotal role on major construction projects across Europe and beyond. The Buildings Engineering division hosts ~400 engineers working on large-scale developments, with a focus on city-scale master planning and complex security systems.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Security Engineering.
• RSES, CSyP, MsyI or PSP with CPD commitment.
• Business development experience.
• Well-established expertise in Security Consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and write operational requirements.
• Lead master planning for projects from city-level down to mixed-use developments.
• Design physical security solutions including electronic locking, walling, glazing, doors, barriers, and fencing.
• Create electronic security designs for video surveillance, access control, intruder detection, and intercom systems.
• Provide counter-terrorism guidance, including Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) and bomb blast considerations.
