Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and self-driven Principal Safety, Health & Environmental Advisor to join the MBDA team at our Stevenage site. If you are passionate about safety, health, and reducing our impact on the environment, this challenging but rewarding position may be for you.

Salary:

Circa £49,000 dependent on experience + bonus + benefits

Hybrid working pattern:

Up to 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance:

British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Travel to other MBDA UK locations may be involved.

What we're looking for:

• Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 6 preferred)
• Significant SHE experience in manufacturing
• Understanding of manufacturing and laboratory technologies
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
• Experience in a SHE role at a manufacturing facility is advantageous
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Influence and engage employees at all levels
• Excellent communication skills, translating complex info into understandable formats
