Job Description:

We are seeking a Principal Road Safety Engineer in Gloucester, offering an annual salary of £50,788. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Leading a team focused on reducing road traffic casualties in Gloucestershire, managing road safety schemes, analyzing collision data, speed management, and conducting safety reviews of highway design proposals and Road Safety Audits.
2. Implementing road safety strategies and achieving casualty reduction targets, including leading Road Safety schemes, project management, and commissioning.
3. Managing budgets and providing regular updates on project status.
4. Supervising, mentoring, advising, and supporting team members, working with the Road Safety Manager to ensure team development and effective teamwork.
5. Collaborating with local, regional, and national groups to promote safe, healthy, and sustainable travel for all road users.
