Job Description:

Overview: The role involves working on a diverse range of projects across various sectors, addressing hazards from food and powders in ice-cream manufacturing to fire and explosion risks in pyrophoric production. You will be part of a large multidisciplinary team or provide standalone process safety consultancy services to clients.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients on process safety projects.
• Conduct site surveys and safety studies, requiring flexibility to work across industries like food & pharma, chemicals, manufacturing, energy, and waste recycling.
• Support process hazard analysis exercises such as What If, HAZOP, and LOPA to ensure safe design outcomes.
• Develop expertise in areas like ATEX/DSEAR risk assessments, hazardous area classification, and handling of combustible dusts.
• Progress to providing stand-alone consultancy services as SME.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Relevant professional experience in process safety engineering consultancy.
• Chartered Engineer status (e.g., IChemE).
• Strong knowledge of DSEAR & ATEX, PUWER, and machine safety directives.
• Experience with hazard study methodologies, pressure relief sizing, and QRA techniques is desirable.
