About the role

The post-holder will form a key part of the Epidemiology of Cancer Healthcare & Outcomes (ECHO) Group within the Department of Behavioural Science and Health of UCL Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care (IECH).

The successful candidate will chiefly work on the ICBP Pathways and Treatment module and the NIHR Cancer Policy Research Unit, and provide statistical leadership for the portfolio of studies led by UCL’s Epidemiology of Cancer Healthcare and Outcomes (ECHO) Group.

They will also provide statistical leadership for the Epidemiology of Cancer healthcare & Outcomes Research group, supervising project work and defining new research questions in synergy with its overall programmatic commitments.

  • This is a fixed-term contract with external funding until 31st of December in the first instance.

About you

A statistician with advanced level of professional experience and an established track record in international collaborations in cancer data, and all aspects of cancer healthcare epidemiology research. This includes advanced experience of cancer healthcare epidemiology / data analysis is essential, using person-level electronic health records, administrative and cancer registry population-based data, and aggregate tabular data. Applicants must have established themselves in the cancer healthcare epidemiology literature, have a theoretical understanding of applied health statistics, and be highly competent computationally.
