Job summary

Elysium Healthcare Limited is seeking a Principal Psychologist at Farmfield Hospital to provide clinical leadership, lead on high-quality psychological services, and support service development within a multidisciplinary setting.

You will conduct expert assessments, develop formulations, and deliver tailored interventions for individuals with complex mental health needs, while guiding teams and promoting psychologically informed care across the service.

Qualifications

• Honours Degree in Psychology recognised for graduate membership of the BPS.
• Doctoral Degree in a Practitioner Psychology discipline or equivalent recognised by the HCPC.
• HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Proficient understanding of diverse clinical presentations and psychological theories.
• Proficient knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions.
• Knowledge of psychometrics and validated assessment tools.
• Understanding of clinical governance, policy frameworks and legislation relevant to clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership within the psychology service and supervise colleagues.
• Undertake comprehensive psychological assessments and develop formulations.
• Deliver a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to complex needs.
• Contribute to the development and coordination of psychology services and quality improvement.
• Provide consultation and psycho-educational input to multidisciplinary teams and staff.
• Engage in risk assessment, safeguarding, and decision-making relevant to service users.
