An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Psychologist at an exceptional mental health hospital located in Stockton-on-the-Forest, York. This hospital specializes in caring for patients with mental illness and learning disabilities, including services for Autistic Spectrum Disorder and females.

Requirements: Must be a qualified Psychologist registered with the HCPC.

Key Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Lead Psychologist in their absence
• Participate in service development
• Manage specific team members
• Provide clinical supervision, appraisals, and support professional development
• Conduct evidence-based psychological assessments
• Deliver 1:1 and group interventions to patients
• Contribute to MDT care planning and reviews
• Support team development and participate in audit and research activities

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience working with women in a forensic mental health setting is preferred
• Specialist training in trauma-related psychological models (e.g., CBT, EMDR) is advantageous
• Ability to apply psychological knowledge effectively in a psychiatric setting

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary between GBP58,250 and GBP68,250 per annum, working full-time for 37.5 hours weekly. Benefits include:
