Job summary

SubCom is seeking a Director of Project Management to lead complex undersea fiber optic projects. You will drive P/L decisions, develop strategies to increase margin and revenue, and coordinate with engineering, Quality, Finance, Operations and Marine Services to meet objectives.

The role requires strong leadership, formal negotiation experience, and the ability to manage large, matrixed teams across global locations. Domestic and international travel will be needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in an Engineering, Business, or technical discipline, with 10+ years related work experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet contractual commitments.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience with P/L management, contract management, risk management and negotiations.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams on large undersea or construction projects.
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Project Manager for projects in the Undersea Telecommunications Industry, coordinating with internal teams.
• Manage project P/L to increase margin and revenue.
• Develop project strategy to boost revenue and margin; perform risk analysis and mitigation.
• Negotiate changes and manage contracts (terms, scope, schedule, budget).
• Maintain customer relationships, issue notices, and respond to customer asks.
• Produce monthly project reports and support project handovers and governance.
