Job summary

SubCom is seeking an Inshore Survey Manager to plan, coordinate and deliver nearshore cable route surveys worldwide, managing vessels, field teams and contractors to meet programme and client requirements.

You will ensure data quality, compliance with HSE and regulations, and act as the main interface with clients and suppliers while tracking budgets and resources, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Hydrographic Surveying, Geomatics or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of hydrographic and geophysical survey within shallow water environments.
• Proven ability to manage small vessels, subcontractors, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with clients and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of inshore survey activities, including coordination of nearshore vessels and field teams.
• Plan and allocate personnel and equipment resources across concurrent inshore projects.
• Lead and oversee execution of inshore survey projects, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
• Ensure RAMS and method statements are appropriate for shallow water operations and compliant with regulations.
• Monitor data quality and deliverables to meet specifications and client expectations.

This includes coordination of vessels, personnel and equipment and management of contractors to achieve objectives, while maintaining high data quality and operational standards.
