Job Title: Principal Product Safety Engineer

Location: Frimley, Filton, Broadoak, Brough, Manchester, Weymouth, or Barrow-In-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading a small team developing a functional Safety Case
• Managing the production of a functional Safety Case to a defined schedule, reporting to a Safety Engineering Manager
• Undertaking complex safety analysis using techniques such as Fault Tree analysis and Event Tree Analysis
• Producing written safety justifications
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including System Engineers and Human Factors SMEs

Your skills and experiences:

• STEM Degree or relevant experience
• Experience leading a small team
• Delivering functional Safety Cases
• Conducting complex safety analysis and justifications, especially in Vehicle Control and Complex Control Systems

The Product Safety team:

This role involves understanding submarine systems and ensuring safety considerations in their development. It includes safety management, hazard analysis, safety documentation, and system interactions, offering a broad overview of submarine systems. Relocation support is available for eligible candidates.
