Job description

Job Title: Principal Process Safety Engineer

Location:

Barrow-in-Furness – flexible and hybrid working arrangements available. Please discuss options with your recruiter.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  1. Completing DSEAR risk assessments and compliance activities.
  2. Mentoring and developing junior engineers.
  3. Reviewing and producing explosion safety strategies.
  4. Developing and documenting processes and policies for the site.
Your Skills and Experiences:
  1. Experience in explosion safety engineering, hazard analysis, and hazard identification.
  2. Proficiency in DSEAR risk assessment production, preferably from high hazard industries.
  3. Thorough understanding of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) and proven track record in implementing strategic business processes.
  4. Degree in a STEM discipline.
  5. Experience with COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) and Safety Case support.
  6. Site Asset Protection and Fire Safety Engineering experience.
