Job Description
Location: Barrow-in-Furness – we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Competitive
Essential: Experience of working in an explosion safety engineering environment and applying various methods of hazard analysis; DSEAR risk assessment production including hazard identification and analysis (preferably from a high hazard industry); A thorough understanding of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC); Proven track record in implementing business processes to achieve strategic objectives.
Desirable: Degree qualified in a STEM discipline; COMAH – Control of Major Accident Hazards (Safety Case support) experience; Site Asset Protection experience & Fire Safety Engineering experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team offering exposure to wider strategic initiatives. You will work with six team members from principals to apprentices, liaising with operational managers, heads of departments, and the Health & Safety teams. This role offers exposure to the Wider Control Damage Hazards team and opportunities for professional growth within the function.
