Job summary

Jacobs in Warrington is seeking a senior wastewater process engineer to lead cross-functional engineering and technology initiatives, pilot systems such as membrane bioreactors and anaerobic digestion, and to develop process flow diagrams and layout plans.

You will select treatment technologies, manage wastewater infrastructure projects through their lifecycle, drive process optimization, and collaborate with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers on new builds and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience in water and/or wastewater networks or treatment works.
• Chartered Status (CEng) with a recognised professional institute is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional engineering and technology initiatives and pilot systems, including membrane bioreactors and anaerobic digestion.
• Develop process flow diagrams and layout plans.
• Select appropriate treatment technologies such as MBR or SBR.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to restore optimal performance.
• Project manage the delivery of wastewater infrastructure throughout a project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement process optimization solutions.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers on plant new builds and upgrades.
