Job summary

Jacobs is recruiting in the UK water sector to lead engineering initiatives and pilot systems across wastewater infrastructure. You will design process flow diagrams, layout plans, and select treatment technologies such as MBR or SBR, applying corrective actions to restore performance and drive optimization.

The role involves project management across the full lifecycle of wastewater projects and close collaboration with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers on new builds and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience with water/wastewater networks or treatment works.
• Chartered status (CEng) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional engineering and technology initiatives and pilot systems (MBR/SBR).
• Develop process flow diagrams and layout plans for wastewater plants.
• Select appropriate treatment technologies such as MBR or SBR.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to restore optimal performance.
• Project manage the delivery of wastewater infrastructure throughout a project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement process optimization solutions.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers on plant new builds and upgrades.
