Role Description

Allianz have a new opportunity for a Principal Pricing Analyst in a Pricing Reporting team. This will be a hybrid position and can be worked from our offices in London, Birmingham and Bournemouth. This role will be a 12-month FTC.

As a Principal Pricing Analyst in the Pricing Reporting Team, you will be at the forefront of decision making; carrying out analysis and making recommendations to stakeholders to improve the pricing and products we offer to our customers and brokers.

Salary Information

Pay: Circa £60,000 per year.

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You

Your role will vary day to day, but here is a bit of what you can expect:

  • Identifying trends, making links in the data, providing actionable insight, communicating and presenting results to key stakeholders of Pricing & U/W and Trading groups.
  • Co-ordinating key outputs from Pricing & U/W and Trading groups which need to be produced on a regular basis to ensure consistency.
  • Regularly reviewing pricing and underwriting monitors, ensuring key points and changes in trends are escalated.
  • Continually looking to improve data, processes and reporting by providing a consistent view.
  • Getting hands-on with data from its source right through to analysis and reporting, choosing the right software tool for the job, including Databricks (SQL and Python) and from time-to-time Willis Towers Watson software tools Radar Optimiser, Radar Live, and Emblem

We don't expect you to know everything from day one, but the following will enable you to hit the ground running:

  • Have an eye for spotting trends, analysing data and business performance to provide actionable insight to the business.
  • Proven experience in working with large data sources and a good command of Python, SQL, or similar coding languages.
  • Experience of Power BI or other dashboard reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of Willis Towers Watson software suite mainly focused on Radar and Emblem
  • Ideally you will hold a STEM degree and have at least 2 years of applying your knowledge in an analytical role in a business environment. A background in Insurance is desirable but not essential.
