Job Title:

Principal Power Systems Electrical Engineer

Location:

What you’ll be doing:

• Conduct load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis of electrical power systems.
• Manage and analyze the electrical load budget.
• Develop and validate electrical models.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and stakeholders on power system matters.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and presentations to communicate results and provide recommendations.
• Develop and mentor team members.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Degree qualified or equivalent experience in electrical engineering.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
• Knowledge of high power and medium voltage power systems and distributions.
• Experience in electrical load budget and load flow analysis.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software tools (e.g., ETAP, Simulink/Simscape, MATLAB).
• Stakeholder management experience.

The Electrical Verification Team:

As part of this team, you will verify and validate power systems, conduct analyses, and perform calculations to support electrical platform design and maturity. We offer relocation support packages for all Submarines roles, subject to eligibility.
